Leaders of Edo South Senatorial district have urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to forgive his deputy, Philip Shaibu if the latter begs for forgiveness.
Both men are currently at loggerheads over who will succeed the Governor at the end of his second term.

The Deputy Governor’s decision to seek a court injunction to stop his purported impeachment has also worsened the situation.
Speaking through its Leader, Senator Ehigie Uzamere, the zone reaffirmed their total commitment to Governor Obaseki’s administration and prayed that God would give him the wisdom to solve the rift.
