The meeting between the Federal Government and organised labour over the issue of fuel subsidy removal has ended in a deadlock.
The Federal Government called the meeting to find a solution to the brewing crisis over the hike in petroleum pump price across the country.
Recall the Government, through the Nigeria National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, announced an adjustment in the price of PMS yesterday.

Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, called for a reversal to the previous status quo, upon which alternatives could be considered.Â
He says this will allow the government to consider the effects of the price change on the people should the subsidy be removed.Â
The Labour leader also questioned why the subsidy was stopped now, considering that the previous administration announced that fuel subsidy was provided up to June ending.
