Seventeen kidnap victims abducted from Sarkin Pawa in Niger State on 3 March have been rescued by operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command.
The operation, carried out on 9 April, was conducted by the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit in conjunction with the Office of the National Security Adviser.

Police say all victims have undergone medical checks at the Kaduna police clinic and are in stable condition.
In a separate operation, officers acting on intelligence intercepted a suspected arms trafficker at Kawo Motor Park in Kaduna North.
The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Jamilu Suleiman, was found with 21 locally fabricated AK-47 rifles hidden in a vehicle.
Investigations are ongoing, with authorities vowing to intensify efforts to dismantle criminal networks across the region.
