The Nigeria Police Force says it will prosecute a popular comedian for disrespecting its uniform.
Abdulgafar Ahmad, popularly known as Cute Abiola, is known for making skits online.
Police spokesman CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi described his action as contemptuous, saying the skit in question shows a highly disrespectful and derogatory portrayal of the police uniform.

According to CSP Adejobi, the skit maker’s actions are contrary to Section 251 of the Criminal Code and Section 133 of the Penal Code.
He added that the comedian will be investigated and possibly prosecuted for his deliberate acts as the NPF had already warned skit makers and filmmakers to desist from desecrating its uniform or accoutrements.
