A student at the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State, has reportedly committed suicide after losing his tuition fees to gambling.
The polytechnic spokesman, Sola Abiala, confirmed the incident yesterday.

The student, identified as Samuel Adegoke, drank a chemical substance suspected to be sniper, after losing his fees and that of his friend to online betting last Friday.
Mr Abiala says Mr. Adegoke was rushed to the school clinic where he was later referred to a specialist hospital outside the school in Ilaro before he was pronounced dead.
