A reckless driver has crushed a pregnant woman and a tricycle rider while driving against traffic along Ago Palace Way, Lagos.
Two schoolchildren who were on their way to school were also knocked down by the driver. They sustained severe injuries.
The incident caused protests as residents went after officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) and some policemen on traffic duty for their alleged complicity in the accident.

The driver, in a Sienna bus, knocked down the pregnant woman while trying to evade arrest from LASTMA officials for the traffic violation.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Lagos, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, says an investigation is underway.
