President Tinubu calls for prayers for troops battling insecurity

President Bola Tinubu has called on Nigerians to offer prayers for troops battling insecurity across the country. Speaking at Dodan Barracks in Lagos after Eid-al-Adha prayers, Tinubu urged citizens to also support vulnerable people during the season of sacrifice.

He said unity and generosity are essential, encouraging Nigerians to show love to one another regardless of ethnic background. Tinubu added that the troops’ sacrifices in combating terrorism and banditry must not be forgotten.

The chief Imam of Lagos, Suleiman Abu-Nola, also delivered a sermon highlighting the importance of sacrifice in national development. He said Nigerians must rise above ethnic divisions to achieve lasting peace and progress.

Several dignitaries joined the prayers, including Minister of Defence Mohammed Abubakar, former Lagos governor Babatunde Fashola, and business leaders Aliko Dangote and Abdul Rabiu.
