President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria following his working visit to France and the United Kingdom. He was received by senior government officials at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, late Monday. Among those present to welcome the president were the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, and Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.

During his visit to Paris, which began on April 2, Tinubu had been scheduled to review his administration’s achievements. However, his recent travels have sparked mixed reactions among Nigerians, especially in the wake of ongoing security concerns in parts of the country, notably in Plateau and Benue States, where recent attacks have resulted in dozens of casualties.
Presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga had earlier described the trip as a “short working visit,” which aimed at strengthening international ties and reviewing progress in Tinubu’s governance.
