The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has expressed deep sorrow over the death of its staff member, Omar Mansour Isleem, killed in an overnight strike on Khan Younis. Two others were reportedly injured in the attack.
In a statement posted on X, the ICRC confirmed Isleem had been on duty inside a clearly marked Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) facility at the time.

The organisation condemned the incident, calling it unacceptable that first responders in Gaza continue to work under constant threat to their lives.
It described the rising toll on humanitarian workers over the past 21 months as outrageous, insisting that medical and emergency personnel must never be targeted in conflict.
