Honourable Abdussamad Dasuki, representing Kebbe/Tambuwal in the House of Representatives, has urged the Federal Government to allocate the recently forfeited Abuja estate—comprising 753 housing units—to the military.
The estate, formerly linked to ex-Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele, was seized on corruption grounds following a court order by Justice Jude Onwuegbuzie in December 2024.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officially handed the estate to the Ministry of Housing on Tuesday.
While the Ministry decides what to do with the property, Mr. Dasuki argues that assigning them to military personnel would address a critical housing shortfall within the armed forces.
He first made the appeal during Armed Forces Remembrance Day, reiterating on Wednesday that improving service members’ living conditions remains key to boosting morale and national security.
