Rivers Sole Administrator Inaugurates Key Commissions, Urges Discipline and Reform

Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), has sworn in the newly reconstituted boards of several key commissions, including the State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC), Civil Service Commission, Local Government Service Commission, and Primary Health Care Management Board.

At the ceremony in Port Harcourt, Ibas emphasised integrity, professionalism, and public accountability, warning that commissions would be held to strict performance standards.

He urged RSIEC to conduct credible local government elections, free from bias or interference, and stressed that its independence was vital for grassroots democracy and peace.
