School bus attack kills at least six people in Pakistan

At least six people have died following a bomb blast targeting a school bus in Khuzdar, a district in Pakistan’s volatile Balochistan province.

The victims include four children, the bus driver, and his assistant. Government officials say 38 others were injured, many critically.

The bus was transporting students of the Army Public School when it was hit by a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device, according to initial investigations.

Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti, said critically injured children are being airlifted to the provincial capital, Quetta.

While no group has claimed responsibility yet, Pakistan’s military accused Indian terror proxies of orchestrating the attack—an allegation India has strongly denied, calling it “baseless” and “an attempt to deflect from Pakistan’s internal issues.”

Authorities warn that the death toll may rise due to the intensity of the explosion.
