The Super Eagles Head Coach, Eric Chelle, has left out Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman from Nigeria’s squad for the upcoming Unity Cup against Ghana.
According to the list released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), the duo will also miss the friendly match against Russia scheduled for June 6 at Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium.
In their place, Maduka Okoye, Frank Onyeka, Kelechi Iheanacho, and team captain Ahmed Musa return to the squad.

Also called up are several NPFL stars, including Junior Harrison Nduka, Sodiq Ismail, Sikiru Alimi, and Adamu Abubakar, who will battle for positions alongside established internationals like Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, Samuel Chukwueze, and Cyriel Dessers.
The Unity Cup, featuring Nigeria, Ghana, Jamaica, and Trinidad & Tobago, will run from May 26 to 31.
Coach Chelle says the competition offers a chance to test new players and strategies ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
