The Senate has passed N57bn as the 2023 Budget of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund, NPTF.
According to the budget, capital expenditure is to gulp N47.02 billion while total recurrent expenditure is put at N9.99 billion

The passage of the 2023 NPTF budget followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Senate and House of Representatives Joint Committees on Police Affairs on the 2023 budget proposal of the NPTF by the Senate.
The report was presented on the floor during plenary by the Chairman, Senate Committee on Police Affairs, Ahmed Madori, who says the 2023 accrued revenue of the NPTF is comprised of 0.5% of total revenue accrued to the Federation Accounts which amounts to N56.21 billion
