American country music star Shaboozey, born Collins Obinna Chibueze, says Nigeria will always remain part of his identity despite being raised in Virginia.
Reflecting on his new track ‘Change Your Mind’ with Afrobeats star Burna Boy, Shaboozey described the collaboration as a “homecoming,” adding that working with an artist from his ancestral homeland was a personal milestone.

Born in 1995 to Nigerian parents, the singer launched his music career in 2014 and rose to global fame following two features on Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’.
His single ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy)’ has since matched ‘Old Town Road’ as the longest-running No.1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
