Spyro Dismisses Speculation Over Nengi Hampson’s Newborn

Afrobeats singer Spyro has dismissed speculation linking him to reality television star Nengi Hampson’s newborn child, following online rumours suggesting he was the father.  

The musician, who has previously spoken about his admiration for Nengi, had shared a congratulatory message after the birth of her child in February. The post fuelled speculation, prompting widespread discussion on social media.

Responding to the claims via Instagram, Spyro criticised what he described as ignorance among Nigerians, suggesting such attitudes contributed to economic disparity in the country. He reiterated his congratulations to Nengi but did not directly address the rumours.  

Earlier, Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri was also linked to the child, though he dismissed the claims as politically motivated falsehoods.
