The Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, has accused the 2023 presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, of inciting some of the people of South-East against the Federal Government over the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway project.
Speaking on Wednesday in an event organised to compensate the affected owners of demolished structures while creating a right of way for the N15 million infrastructural project, the Minister said Mr. Obi did a similar thing while he was governor of Anambra state, and did not even compensate people affected in his time.

The Minister was reacting to Mr. Obi’s criticism that the project is a job-losing one.
Obi had noted on Tuesday via his X page that President Tinubu is creating more unemployment and destroying investments that paid taxes, as the Landmark Beach Resort that was worth $200 million was adversely affected.
