Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, known globally as Tems, has told fans she might have built a career in accounting or mathematics teaching had music not worked out. She made the comment during an interactive session on X, where a fan asked what path she would have pursued outside entertainment.
Tems, now a multiple Grammy winner, previously disclosed that she resigned from her job as a digital marketer in early 2018 to devote herself fully to music. Her debut single, ‘Mr Rebel’, released later that year, gained modest attention.
