The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) says 15 states across the country will experience heavy rainfall over the next three days.
In its latest edition of the impact-based weather forecast bulletin, the affected states were listed as Adamawa, Borno, Gombe, Bauchi, Kaduna, Plateau, Taraba, Kogi, and Kwara in the north; and Cross River, Akwa Ibom, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, and Ogun States in the south.

NiMet also forecasts strong winds in at least 18 states from Friday, October 6 to Sunday, October 8. Over the next three days, the winds are expected to cover the FCT, Niger, Plateau, and 15 other northern states.
Recall that by August this year, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Flood Impact Reports says over 7,000 people were displaced, with 75 injured and 5 recorded fatalities since January. The report also says 10 states have so far been affected.
