Three People Killed In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

Three people have been confirmed dead and several others injured following a collision involving three vehicles on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) said the crash happened near the Secretariat, in the direction of the Otedola Bridge as the car, identified as an Audi with registration number YAB742CN, was heading towards Berger. Emergency responders, including LASAMBUS and police personnel, were deployed to the scene to assist victims and manage traffic.

In a statement on its X handle, LASTMA said the vehicles involved include a car and a truck, adding that preliminary findings showed the car rammed into the slow-moving truck. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, which authorities say has been classified as a total write-off. The truck driver reportedly fled the scene.
