Two Killed, 6 Injured In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Crash

Two persons died while six others sustained injuries in an accident along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway yesterday, in a lone accident involving a Toyota Hiace bus.

The Spokesperson of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, confirming the incident to newsmen in Abeokuta yesterday, said the crash, which occurred around Car Park C on the highway, was caused by speeding and loss of control.

She also said that the injured victims were taken to Famobis Hospital in Mowe, while the deceased were deposited at the same hospital morgue.

Officer Okpe, quoting the Ogun State Sector Commander, Anthony Uga, advised motorists to drive within the stipulated speed limit in order to avoid crashes.
