Veteran Nollywood actress Tina Mbah has offered candid advice to colleagues facing pressure to choose between their careers and marriage.
In a recent interview, the mother of two urged actors to remain clear-eyed about partners who may not support their professional aspirations. Drawing from personal experience, Mbah stressed the importance of recognising early warning signs, cautioning that some spouses could become obstacles to growth after marriage.

Mbah encouraged open conversations with prospective partners and even suggested securing written assurances, if necessary, to protect one’s career.
While acknowledging the value of marriage, she emphasised that personal fulfilment should not be compromised. “Be true to yourself,” she said. “Don’t fall for the dazzles—be an antique babe like me.”
