Prince Adewole Adebayo, the 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), has criticised President Bola Tinubu, accusing him of following the path of his predecessor in handling the country’s economy.
Mr Adebayo was speaking on a social media conversation examining the economy over the last three months.
During the conversation which was organised by Daily Trust, the SDP candidate described the decision to remove fuel subsidy as a bad policy.
According to him, in advanced economies, whatever makes the economy thrive is subsidised, including pharmaceuticals and health.
He also faulted the administration for not being committed to macroeconomic measurement.
He insists that the last three months under the current administration has not spelt out the economic direction which will achieve many of the promises made to citizens.
