Tinubu Urges Christians to Embrace Hope and Sacrifice This Easter

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on Christians across Nigeria to use the Easter season to reflect on the values of sacrifice, redemption, love, and hope. In a message signed on Good Friday, the President described Holy Week as a time for deep contemplation and renewal, urging citizens to draw strength from its lessons.

The President expressed sadness over recent security incidents that have claimed lives in some parts of the country. He reassured Nigerians of his administration’s determination to restore peace and stability, stating that he had given clear directives to the Armed Forces and all relevant agencies to end insecurity decisively and without delay.

On the economy, Tinubu thanked Nigerians for their patience and resilience, noting that the nation is beginning to see signs of recovery. He pledged continued efforts to stabilise key sectors, attract investment, and build a more inclusive economy that benefits all citizens.

President Tinubu also joined the global Christian community in giving thanks for the recovery of Pope Francis. He concluded his Easter message with a prayer for renewed faith and national triumph over adversity, stating that while the present moment may be cloudy, it holds the promise of a glorious future.
