Singer and actress, Tiwatope Omolara Savage, professionally known as Tiwa Savage, took to her X page on Monday, May 13, 2024, to celebrate the international success of her film, Water and Garri on Prime Video.
The film, which premiered on Prime Video on Friday, May 10th, placed in the top 10 in 14 countries, namely; Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Benin Republic, Rwanda, Togo, Georgia, Zambia, Cyprus, Uganda, Ukraine, Tanzania, Qatar, and South Africa.

Produced by Savage and Jimi Adesanya, the film follows the story of Aisha, an ambitious fashion designer who, due to a family loss, returns to her hometown after years away in the United States. Upon her arrival, Aisha, played by Tiwa Savage, discovers a vastly different reality. The place she once knew is fraught with escalating violence and tension.
Directed by Meji Alabi and produced by Unbound Studio and JM Films, the film was shot in Cape Coast, Ghana, featuring Mike Afolarin, Andrew Bunting, and Jemima Osunde.
