Two men were killed and two other persons injured in an explosion that occurred at the Tsangayar Sani Uthman Islamic School situated in Kuchibuyi village of Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
In a statement on Monday, the FCT Police Command said a team of police operatives, including its explosive ordnance disposal team, and the area commander of Kubwa, mobilised to the scene where rescued victims of the incident were promptly evacuated and rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
The statement also said that preliminary investigations revealed that three men from Katsina, who are suspected of having brought an improvised explosive device, IED, with them, had visited the owner of the Islamic school, Mallam Adamu Ashimu.

Tragically, two of the men died in the explosion while tampering with the IED on the school veranda, while the third man and a female trader sustained severe injuries and are currently receiving treatment under police guard.
