The US State Department says that reports on mass graves in Gaza are troubling.
Palestinian authorities reported finding hundreds of bodies in mass graves at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis this week, right after it was abandoned by Israeli troops. Bodies were also reported at the al-Shifa medical site following an Israeli raid.
UN rights chief Volker Turk said earlier on Tuesday he was “horrified” by the mass grave reports.

On its part, Saudi Arabia decried the discovery of the mass graves in Khan Younis, where some 310 bodies have been recovered from the vicinity of Nasser Medical Complex so far.
In a statement, the Saudi government said the failure of the international community to activate accountability mechanisms in response to what it labelled as Israel’s breaches of international law, will only result in more violations.
