VP Shettima Tells World Leaders Nigeria Needs Real Investments, Partnerships Not Handouts

Vice-President Kashim Shettima says Nigeria no longer needs handouts from developed economies, but is seeking real partnerships and investments.

Speaking at the ongoing United Nations Food Systems Summit in Rome on Monday, the vice-president said recent economic policies such as the subsidy removal and the unification of the foreign change system, have put Nigeria on a pedestal for mutually beneficial partnerships.

He also asserted that President Bola Tinubu is poised to redefine the meaning and concept of modern leadership in Nigeria, which has woken up from its slumber and is now poised to move the world.
