Zimbabwe head coach Michael Nees believes Nigeria’s Super Eagles are vulnerable ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Uyo on 25 March, insisting his side can spring a surprise despite their struggles in Group C.
The Warriors sit bottom of the table with just two points from four matches, while Nigeria, also winless, are one place above them with three points.

Coach Nees acknowledged the challenge of facing Nigeria away but maintained that the Super Eagles are not invincible. The three-time African champions have failed to assert themselves in the qualifiers, with their latest setback a 1-1 draw against Zimbabwe.
Poor results led to the departure of former coach José Peseiro, with Eric Chelle now tasked with revitalising Nigeria’s campaign. The Super Eagles will be under pressure to secure their first win as both sides seek to revive their World Cup hopes.
