Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State has directed the State Ministry of Health to investigate and fish out medical staff accused of rejecting accident victims who were rushed to the Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital in Maiduguri.
The Governor gave the instruction while visiting the hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit.Â
His directive was prompted by a viral video clip showing some medical officers allegedly rejecting accident victims who were taken for treatment.

The Governor has given the probe team 24 hours to determine the date and time the incident occurred, identify the medical workers involved and recommend appropriate sanctions.
He expressed his displeasure over the incident, describing it as inhuman and unacceptable.
He promised that such a situation would not repeat itself.
