The Peoples Democratic Party has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, fixing 51 million naira as the cost of its presidential nomination and expression of interest forms. The party also announced a waiver on nomination fees for female aspirants across all elective positions as part of efforts to encourage wider participation in the electoral process.
In a document signed by its National Organising Secretary, Umar Bature, the party outlined a detailed programme covering the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, conduct of primaries and submission of candidates to the Independent National Electoral Commission. The process begins with the submission of the party register on April 21, 2026, followed by notification of its primaries a day later.
The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from April 27 to May 4, with the deadline for submission set for May 9. Screening of aspirants for all categories of elections will take place on May 11, while appeals are fixed for May 12. The presidential primary is slated for May 17 and 18, while National Assembly primaries will be held between May 21 and May 23. State House of Assembly and governorship primaries are scheduled for May 25 and May 27, respectively, with all appeals expected to be concluded by May 30.

A breakdown of fees shows that presidential aspirants will pay one million naira for the expression of interest and 50 million naira for nomination. Governorship aspirants are to pay 21 million naira, while senatorial aspirants will pay six million naira. Aspirants for the House of Representatives will pay four million naira, and those seeking seats in State Houses of Assembly will pay three million naira. Female aspirants are required to pay only for the expression of interest forms, as nomination fees have been waived.
