The Lagos State chapter of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, in partnership with the British Red Cross, has provided financial support to 267 households in the Agboyi area of Kosofe Local Government. Each beneficiary received N310,000 through pre-loaded ATM cards under the second phase of the Food Security and Livelihood Support Programme.
According to the Red Cross spokesperson, Olushola Tejuosho, the initiative is part of a long-term resilience plan for communities affected by years of recurrent flooding. The programme was executed between 28 and 29 November 2025, covering Agboyi 1, Agboyi 2 and Agboyi 3.
Tejuosho explained that N250,000 of each grant was strictly for business support, while N60,000 was earmarked for personal needs. She said the structure was designed to promote both immediate relief and lasting economic stability for vulnerable families.
