5 Die In Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Accident

Five persons were confirmed dead in an accident at Fidiwo bridge on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, and four others sustained various degrees of injury.

Mrs. Okpe says the accident involved nine persons, comprising six female and three male adults, and initial investigations indicate that excessive speeding and wrongful overtaking, leading to loss of control, seem to be the cause of the tragedy.

She added that the injured victims were taken to Victory Hospital in Ogere, while the corpses were deposited at FOS morgue, Ipara.
