President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed cement companies to revert to the status quo regarding the price of the commodity. This is according to the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi.
The minister was speaking to the press shortly after inspecting the 5th line in BUA’s cement factory in Sokoto on Thursday.
According to him, during a meeting with the manufacturers, the president directed them to revert to the earlier price of cement.

The minister commended the management of the company for ensuring cleanliness within the entire premises of the company.
Speaking earlier in his welcome address, the managing director of the company, Yusuf Binji, said the 5th line will ensure massive production of the product in the company.
He added that the increase in the production of cement will further push down the price of the product in the market.
