EFCC Recovers 753 Abuja Properties in Largest-Ever Seizure

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced its largest-ever recovery, with the forfeiture of 753 duplexes and apartments in Abuja.

In a statement on Monday, the EFCC revealed that the final forfeiture was made possible through an interim order obtained on 1 November 2024. The properties were linked to a government official under investigation for fraudulent activities.

The EFCC described the recovery as a significant step in its anti-corruption efforts, emphasising that asset forfeiture is a key strategy for denying suspects the proceeds of crime.
