Musa Aliyu, the Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, says the anti-graft agency recovered and remitted N10.986 billion in value-added tax, VAT, to the Federal Inland Revenue within one year.
Speaking on Tuesday at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja while marking his one year in office, Mr Aliyu also said the commission recovered N29.7 billion in cash and N10 billion meant for the production of COVID-19 vaccines.

He added that the agency secured final forfeiture of assets to the tune of N2.5 billion and foreign currency recoveries of just under $967,000.
The ICPC boss also added that 851 petitions were processed under the year in review, with 342 assigned for investigation, 95 fully investigated, 72 cases filed in court, and 16 convictions secured.
