Gaza Appeals to WHO for Protection of Kamal Adwan Hospital Amid Continued Strikes

The Government Media Office in Gaza has called on the World Health Organization to urgently dispatch a delegation to safeguard Kamal Adwan Hospital, its staff, patients, and displaced civilians from what it describes as relentless Israeli attacks.

In a strongly-worded statement, the office condemned the targeting of medical facilities, describing such actions as a “humanitarian and moral crime” and a clear breach of international laws and norms.

The statement highlighted that the strikes, which have resulted in the loss of thousands of lives, have continued unabated for nearly 80 days, coinciding with the ongoing ground offensive in the northern Gaza Strip.

The office further alleged that the Israeli attacks on Kamal Adwan Hospital form part of a broader strategy aimed at systematically dismantling Gaza’s healthcare system.

It went on to accuse Israel, alongside the United States and other nations such as Germany, the United Kingdom, and France, of complicity in what it termed a “genocide.” Responsibility, it stated, rests squarely on these nations for their role in supporting the Israeli campaign.
