A senior Hamas official, Basem Naim, has accused Israel of failing to uphold the terms of the ceasefire agreement. Speaking to Al Jazeera, Mr Naim claimed Hamas had engaged in serious negotiations with mediators—Egypt, Qatar, and the United States—regarding alleged Israeli violations.
He stated that 25 Palestinians had been killed and dozens wounded since the truce took effect. He also criticised delays in humanitarian aid, noting that requests for tents to shelter displaced civilians in winter had gone unmet, while electricity remained scarce.

Hamas, he asserted, had adhered to the agreement, while Israel was deliberately undermining the deal. His comments came ahead of Hamas’s call for an indefinite postponement in the release of Israeli captives.
Israel has also previously accused Hamas of breaching ceasefire conditions. Mediation efforts continue amid ongoing tensions.
