Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged support for a US proposal to reshape Gaza’s future, stating that neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority would govern the enclave following the ongoing war.
His comments follow talks in Jerusalem with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, during which he praised President Donald Trump’s “vision for Gaza’s future.” The conflict, now in its 15th month, has claimed over 48,000 Palestinian lives and triggered a severe humanitarian crisis.

Human rights groups have condemned the US-backed plan, warning that efforts to assume control of Gaza and forcibly displace Palestinians could constitute ethnic cleansing under international law.
The proposal has drawn sharp criticism from Arab states but is set to be discussed during Secretary Rubio’s diplomatic tour of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates this week.
