A Lagos-based automobile spare parts dealer has been arrested by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for allegedly attempting to smuggle two kilograms of cocaine hidden inside vehicle components to Angola.
The suspect, identified as Levi Ubodoeze, was detained following an intelligence-sharing operation between Nigerian and Angolan authorities, the agency said in a statement on Sunday.

During a search of his residence, officers recovered 75.5 kilograms of phenacetin—commonly used as a cutting agent for cocaine—packaged and branded as semolina. A digital scale believed to be used for weighing illicit drugs was also seized.
The NDLEA said Mr Ubodoeze admitted to his involvement in drug trafficking while operating as a spare parts dealer at Ladipo Market in Mushin, Lagos.
