The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has destroyed an eight-hectare cannabis farm in Cross River State during an operation carried out on Sunday in Uyanga community, Akamkpa Local Government Area.
The agency’s spokesperson in the state, Sebastian Lebo, said operatives, working with soldiers from the Nigerian Army’s 13 Brigade, also recovered 170 kilograms of processed cannabis at the site.
He said the operation followed a previous raid in the same area where six hectares of cannabis farmland were cleared and large quantities of the substance destroyed.
