Israeli authorities have issued an order to appropriate 0.74 acres (0.3 hectares) of land in the Palestinian village of Hares, in the occupied West Bank, according to local reports.
Omar Samara, head of the Hares village council, confirmed that the land belongs to Palestinian residents and said owners had been given only 24 hours to challenge the decision.
He called on international and human rights organisations to intervene, warning that the move poses a serious threat to the livelihoods of local farmers.
