There’s controversy in the National Association of Nigerian Students as factional president, Atiku Abubakar Isah, has accused Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, of interfering in the student body’s affairs.
Speaking at his inauguration in Abuja, Isah alleged that Seyi attempted to disrupt the event and accused him of playing a divisive role in the ongoing NANS leadership crisis. He also claimed he was tortured and forced to resign earlier this month.

NANS has been split into rival factions after two parallel elections produced both Isah and Olusola Oladoja as presidents.
A former NANS Senate president, Henry Okunomo, also weighed in, warning that the organisation is becoming too politicised.
In response, Seyi Tinubu, via Instagram, dismissed all claims as false and defamatory. He denied ever meeting Isah or sending thugs to any event.
