Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara marked his return from a two-week break in the United Kingdom with a public appearance at the 2025 Thanksgiving Service of the Brigade Metropolitan Battalion Council Nigeria.
The Governor, who arrived back in Port Harcourt on Saturday, attended Sunday’s service at St Cyprian’s Church, Anglican Communion, accompanied by elder statesmen Amaopusenibo Fubara Hart and Dr Tamunosisi Gogo-Jaja.

Presided over by the Diocesan Bishop, Rt Rev Dr Emmanuel Oko-Jaja, the event celebrated the successful completion of religious camp activities by the Boys’ Brigade in Rivers State.
A statement by the Governor’s spokesman, Nelson Chukwudi, noted that prayers were offered for Governor Fubara, his family and the continued peace of the state.
