The House of Representatives will today suspend regular proceedings to hold a special valedictory session in honour of five members of the 10th Assembly who died in active service.
A statement by House spokesman Akin Rotimi confirmed the ceremony will begin at 11am in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Abuja.

The session is being held under the direction of Speaker Tajudeen Abbas and is listed in this week’s notice paper, issued by the House Committee on Rules and Business.
Those to be honoured include Adewunmi Onanuga, former Deputy Chief Whip; Abdulkadir Danbuga; Isa Dogonyaro; Olaide Akinremi; and Ekene Adams—all of whom passed between October 2023 and July 2024.
Families of the late lawmakers and other dignitaries are expected to be in attendance as the House pays its final respects.
