Ajax manager John Heitinga has compared Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen to football greats Didier Drogba and Zlatan Ibrahimovic ahead of Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League clash with Galatasaray in Amsterdam. Heitinga described the striker as a rare blend of strength, pace, and technical ability, warning his players to “watch out for him.”
Osimhen’s rise has been remarkable, with record-breaking spells at Lille, Napoli, and now Galatasaray, where he scored 37 goals last season to secure a league-and-cup double. His form earned a permanent move to Turkey after English clubs baulked at Napoli’s €75 million fee.
