Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has faulted what he described as a lack of transparency surrounding the Museum of West African Art project in Benin City. Speaking after meeting a delegation of European diplomats, including the EU and German Ambassadors, the governor said his administration was unaware of the envoys’ earlier visit to the state for MOWAA-related activities.
Okpebholo later led the delegation to the Palace of the Oba of Benin, where he expressed surprise at the development, noting that even the palace had raised concerns over the project’s handling.
