Nigerian music stars Davido and Jesse Jagz engaged in a heated exchange on social media platform X, following a post by Davido on Wednesday. The Grammy-nominated singer wrote, “I go use Amapiano yenk you,” prompting a response from Jagz that quickly escalated into a public spat.
Davido accused Jagz of drug use and warned he could “buy” his life, adding in a follow-up post: “You already got an od to worry about, better no add wetin no good.” Jagz pushed back in a series of now-deleted posts, insisting that no one could buy life and urging Davido to show respect.
The rapper also criticised Davido’s music, calling him a “wack musician” and alleging manipulation of music charts that prevents good music from gaining recognition. Jagz highlighted that both he and Davido smoke, but disputed the drug allegation.
