Davido has announced that his new single titled ‘I Know Who I Be’ will be released on June 26, featuring Jazzwrld and GL Ceejay, with the Grammy-nominated artiste sharing the news on his X page on Monday, accompanied by promotional photos of the forthcoming project.
The announcement signals a return to solo releases for the Afrobeats heavyweight, who has maintained a relatively quiet output of personal singles in recent months, with his last solo single, ‘Be There Still’, released on March 7, 2025, preceding his critically acclaimed album ‘Timeless.’
His most recent appearance was as a featured artiste on TxC’s track ‘Nakupenda,’ and the new release comes after Davido performed at the opening concert of the 2026 FIFA World Cup countdown series in Los Angeles. The singer had announced in May that he was taking a temporary break from making music.
The new single comes after a period of relative quiet from the artist, who has been focusing on his label and other commitments. Davido’s return to solo releases is expected to generate significant buzz in the music industry. The track will be available on all major streaming platforms from June 26.
