The United States has delivered military supplies to Nigeria as part of efforts to strengthen security cooperation between the two countries, according to the United States Africa Command.
In a statement posted on X on Tuesday, AFRICOM said US forces handed over the supplies to Nigerian partners in Abuja, describing the delivery as support for Nigeria’s ongoing security operations and a reflection of the shared partnership.
AFRICOM did not disclose the type or quantity of the military equipment delivered, and the post tagged the United States Mission in Nigeria.

The delivery comes amid continued security collaboration between Nigeria and the United States, including recent US airstrikes in Sokoto State targeting Islamic State linked militants, following diplomatic exchanges over security concerns in Nigeria.
